Chanel’s photographic exhibition dedicated to Karl Lagerfeld’s latest book, ‘The Little Black Jacket: Chanel’s classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld’, will open at the Saatchi Gallery in London this October, following on from Tokyo, New York, Taipei and Hong Kong.
Visitors can discover the jacket through Karl Lagerfeld’s 113 photographs with iconic personalities from the worlds of fashion, music, sports and society wearing the iconic piece of fashion. From Yoko Ono, Sarah Jessica Parka, Kanye West, Theophilus London to Claudia Schiffer, Anna Wintour, Kirsten Dunst and many others all participated in this rather stunning project
“The special event underlines the brand’s values of creativity, modernity and excellence,” reads a statement from Chanel. “The public will discover the versatility and timelessness of the iconic Chanel jacket through Karl Lagerfeld’s photographs.”
To coincide with the exhibition, Chanel’s Bond Street, Sloane Street and Brompton Cross boutiques will have window displays dedicated to jackets from the most recent collections.
‘The Little Black Jacket: Chanel’s classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld,’ will be available worldwide in bookshops this autumn, priced at £65. The exhibition will be open to the public from 12 October to 28 October
