Retouched Veins - EDITED

Regular readers of the blog will know that I love a good Biker Jacket. You can style it with jeans, dresses, pencil skirts (if you have a cropped biker) and just about everything else! If you invest in a good biker leather jacket you will have it for life – especially if you can afford genuine leather as the aging process gives a quality vintage look that you cannot replicate with faux. Up until maybe 3 or 4 years ago, it was incredibly difficult to find biker jackets in any other colours except black and brown. Now they come in array of colours – from neon yellows, stripes and metallic! Joy oh Joy!

My leather biker jacket has currently replaced my blazer as my go to jacket of choice. If I could, I would have every colour under the sun (much to My Starr’s dismay). Todays outfit is a typical casual comfy look (I say comfy because I’m wearing wedges but you can easily swap these out for converse if my definition of comfy is not fitting with yours). I’ve paired my leather biker jacket with gold hoops and ripped jeans – I guess you can take the girl out of Brixton but you can’t take Brixton out of the girl!

My faves for leather apparel right now are All Saints, Muubaa and Karen Millen. Theses retailers are all a bit pricey – A leather jacket will set you back at least £300. But to be honest, you’d be hard pressed to find a genuine leather biker jacket of good quality (lining, durable hardware) for any less than that. Below is my pick of some of my fave biker jackets out right now. Are you a traditional black leather biker babe? Or are you into the unorthodox colour streams? How will you be styling yours this summer?
