I love discovering new places to eat and drink, especially GOOD places that are centrally located and easy to get to after work. I work crazy hours and a large part of what I do includes networking and socialising. It’s important for me to know where is popping, but more important to have a variety of venues to take clients to that serve different purposes depending on the nature of business we are discussing. Sometimes a hip shoreditch bar is required. On other occasions a really quirky coffee bar or healthy vegan/ raw/ juice cafe is the order of the day. Part of being a good host and (dare I say it), socialite, is knowing the right places that create the right ambience for your guest. I say all this to say that Kouzu has firmly become one of my go to spots.
Located just a 2 minute walk from Victoria station in Belgravia, Kouzu the building is instantly recognizable, impressive and projects a powerful image for business meetings. The decor is superb – wonderfully neutral for daytime meetings yet still really intimate and chilled in the evening for cocktails with the girls. Speaking of cocktails – they don’t get much better than the ones served here. And with 2 for 1 happy hour on weekdays from 5.30 -7.30pm it really is a no brainer.
Due to the nature of clientele found in Belgravia, Kouzu also host regular evening events including sushi tasting (the award winning sushi is divine btw, as is the beef tataki, which is my absolute fave and a must if you ever venture there to dine) and art exhibitions, the most recent being the works of Albie Espional hosted by the man himself. So, if you work in Victoria area and fancy a cheeky cocktail after work I definitely recommend giving Kouzu a go.
