Usually I struggle to wear bright colours, and as a result, this little ASOS number had collected a considerable amount of dust in the last 12 months as it lay forgotten at the back of my wardrobe. I think perhaps it’s a British thing – we tend to wear colours that reflect the weather, which is mostly grey. So I will invariably wear Navy, black and white pretty much daily. I mean, people who wear bright colours in the city on a rainy day stick out like a sore thumb and (massive generalisation alert) are usually tourists.
So – whilst in full tourist mode – I decided that the sunny climes of Ibiza would be the perfect time to break out this bad boy .
I paired the dress with my Lady Max heels by Louboutin, a chunky gold necklace and horribly thick tan lines for an early dinner at Ushuaia. I went for all out Glam that day but this dress could just as easily be worn on the beach with flip flops and a large sun hat. Interestingly enough, I actually was going to purchase it in black – but by the time I had made up my mind the black had sold out. I’d like to think it was fate as I definitely prefer the orange much better – Orange is the new Black after all!
