You guys know how much I love a bargain. I love discount shopping and am a regular at sample sales, outlets and any other bargain basement going. There is a huge misconception that it is expensive to dress well. It really isn’t. I don’t believe in living beyond your means. The fashion industry covers all markets and all price points. Even your favourite designers tend to have affordable lines for the masses. I live by the mantra that quality is key. I apply that rule of thumb to everything I do and naturally I apply it to shopping too. For example, would you believe me if I told you that this entire outfit was only £54? 🙂

I picked up this gorgeous statement dress from H&M outlet for only £15. It’s actually from their premium collection and originally retailed for around £75. I love a red dress. It makes such a wonderful impact and looks great on all skin tones. The clutch I picked up from Aftershock for £20 (I actually haggled the price down from £25) and the barely there sandals I found in the Kurt Geiger sale for just £19.

Now I know it’s a little unorthodox for bloggers to promote clothing that you cannot readily buy. But I see my blog as more of a personal style diary and inspiration hub. I dress for myself first and foremost – not for brands and fans. And I do this in an attempt to keep my integrity and my voice via this platform. With that said, I have listed alternatives for you below – all amazing red dresses under £50. I would love to know what bargain find you are most proud of, so feel free to leave a link to your pages featuring your item/s. Also, I’m think of starting up a ‘Cheap and Chic’ series on the blog with posts similar to this one. Let me know if this is something you’d like to see guys!
